The countdown continues to the first-ever Shooting For A Cure event in Madison later this month. The latest addition to the schedule for the inaugural Coaches vs. Cancer Gala is the addition of ESPN/ABC college basketball analyst Steve Lavin as the keynote speaker. Shooting For A Cure is set for Sat., May 31, at the Madison Marriott West. This fundraiser, which is shaping up as one of the biggest events in Madison this year, will help raise funds for the American Cancer Society in Wisconsin and share the importance of saving lives from cancer. The event is being co-hosted by Milwaukee head men's basketball coach Rob Jeter. Read Full Release 4/29/2008 Milwaukee Basketball Golf Classic Set For July 21
The Milwaukee Basketball Golf Classic is set for Monday, July 21, at North Shore Country Club. The annual event is one of the main fundraisers for the Panther men's basketball program. The day includes lunch and dinner, 18 holes of golf, a silent auction and a preview of the 2008-09 season. Registration for the event starts at 10, with lunch served at 11 and a shotgun start set for noon. Dinner and the auction will then begin at the conclusion of the golf - approximately 5 p.m. The price for an individual golfer is $325 while a foursome can register for $1200.
